The Sands Township Zoning Commission includes five appointed members. The function of the Commission is to review zoning ordinances, special use permits and make recommendations to the Township Board.
The Zoning Board of Appeals, made up of five appointed members, addresses variance's from zoning ordinance's, appeals and ordinance interpertations.
Outside wood burning boilers/units do require a zoning compliance permit.
