There was mechanical problems with the garbage truck. If your garbage was not picked up Tuesday 4/22, it will be picked up Wednesday 4/23 in the am.

The Township Office Complex is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Tuesday 1:30 to 6:30 PM

New Recreation facility finished

The Indoor Multipurpose (IM) room, which is located at 987 South M-553 is now available to township residents for supervised open gym. Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 5 pm-7pm. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult. For more information call the township office at 249-9169.
The IM room was built for indoor basketball, volleyball, and can be rented as a banquet facility. Hours and rates will be posted at this website soon. Please call the Township office with any questions or contact the Parks and Recreation Commitee at sandsprc@gmail.com

This Sands Township Parks and Recreation Committee (PRC) is seeking your input on the future direction of recreation in Sands Township. WIth the completion of the Indoor Multipurpose Room and half of Sands Park, the PRC is in the midst of revising the Sands Township Recreation Plan. Please complete the survey form and mail or drop off at the Sands Township Office.

We are seeking public input on the revision of the Sands Township Recreation Plan. Some items that we are seeking input on include: the remaining components of Sands Park, Strawberry Lake Recreation Area, and the recreation interests of the community.
