Marquette County Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical, Christian organization whose mission is to build simple, decent houses in partnership with people in need. Habitat believes that all God's people deserve a decent, safe and warm place to live and raise their families. Homeowner selection is based on actual need for decent housing, ability to repay the loan and a willingness to become partners in the program. Habitat works with volunteer labor, management expertise and tax-deductible donations of money, materials, and service. Local fundraisers, churches, service clubs and individual donations account for a large portion of the needed funds. We also receive money from United Way and MSHDA and other foundation grant sources. MCHFH has built 16 homes since its inception in late 1992.
