MSHS is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Univeristy of Michigan Bureau of School Services. There are about 75 teaching faculty, plus a librarian and four counselors. Two, 18-week semesters (four marking periods), and 58-minute class periods with six periods per day Monday through Friday comprise the school year.
